Classification of Goods and Customs Value
What is that?
In accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations, several import and/or export commodities are subject to import and/or export provisions which are commonly referred to as goods subject to prohibitions and restrictions (LARTAS) refer to the applicable HS Code (Post Tariff) number.
Failure to classify goods (determining the HS Code/Post Tariff) correctly – thus not preparing LARTAS permits in advance – will result in delays in customs clearance and/or obtaining customs invoices from the Customs Office, as well as delays in the entry of exported goods into the Customs Area.
Meanwhile, errors in declaring the customs value result in the emergence of customs bills and/or administrative sanctions in the form of fines from the Customs Office.
