Customs Audit Simulation
Does Customs Audit really happen?
Customs audit is a certainty. It is only a matter of time. The audit is carried out within a certain time span, at least within the last 24 (twenty-four) months.
All companies, specifically those who use the facilities from the Government, are subject to the audit.
All companies that are doing export and import activities whether they are manufacturing, trading, warehousing services, customs brokerages (PPJK) or others are subject to customs audits conducted by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGC).
Of the several audit subjects, manufacturing companies that use customs facilities such as Bonded Zones and Ease of Import for Export purposes (KITE), and warehousing companies using customs facilities in the form of Bonded Warehouse and Bonded Logistics Center are prioritized to be audited.
Why a simulation is needed?
- Preparation is so essential in order to check, screen, and control the documents, system, organization, compliance, etc. Our consultants are available to offer their knowledge, expertise and assistance to mitigate audit and penalty risk and improve business process controls.
- Our consultants are simulating the identical approaches used by the Customs Auditors: method, systematic, coverage, objective. Hence both our consultants and the Customs auditors are working on the same page.
- The result of the simulation gives the company time to improve the controls and reduce the penalties.
